Dreams do come true… there is officially a Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream in Utah! It opens TODAY (10/17) and is located in Sandy right off of 11400 South (where Starbucks used to be next to Pizzeria Limone).

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream started in Ohio and currently has locations in California, Florida, Indiana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Oregon. Oh, and now UTAH!

I loved all the variety of flavors they had in there. I can truthfully say it’s the smoothest, softest ice cream I’ve ever had. My favorite flavors we tried were the classic Strawberry, Snickerdoodle, Pistachio and Graham Central Station. In Ohio, their most popular flavor is the chocolate pecan!

They have such a wide variety of flavors and options. You can get ice cream Oreo sandwiches, shakes, pints to go, and even pops! Which is chocolate-dipped ice cream in either vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate chip and their current flavor of the month.

One thing to note before you go: there is actually no seating inside! I guess that is a Handel’s classic. So don’t plan on going and eating inside. You’re taking it to-go or eating outside if it’s warm enough.
Enjoy!

OMG! I have been waiting for this day for years! I worked at the original Handel’s in Youngstown, Ohio and have been missing their icecream. I am so excited!
