On Saturday morning, Penny and I went on another breakfast date together this time to Penny Ann’s Cafe! We went to their location on Main Street in SLC but they also have locations in Draper and Taylorsville. They were celebrating 8 years on Saturday at the Main Street location so it was exciting to be there for that!

Penny Ann was there (and was our waitress!) so Penny was able to meet her which was fun!

One of my favorite things we ordered were PENNY’S PUFFS! You can order them with caramel sauce and cream cheese frosting and oh man… I’m drooling just thinking of them again! Penny obviously loved them as well…

Penny Ann’s Cafe is definitely most known for their “heavenly hot cakes” and let me tell you… they really are heavenly! They come as a side with many of their dishes and they truly are the perfect size + amount of fluffiness!

This is their STUFFED FRENCH TOAST! You can choose from Banana Nutella, Strawberry Nutella, Caramel Pecan and Jelly Donut (White Chocolate Chip & Raspberry). Quite the options! Which would you choose? If you try something fun tag us!

Fun fact: they also have authentic maple syrup from Vermont imported into their restaurant. They even put their logo on the little bottle and it is so delicious. The real stuff makes all of the difference.

Breakfast nachos anyone? Check out their menu here! They also have a lunch menu here. I had no idea they served lunch! I may need to go back and try their famous grilled Rueben…

This beauty is their POT OF GOLD! Home fried potatoes mixed with ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, topped with cheddar cheese, two eggs, smothered in sausage gravy and served with your choice of toast, French Toast or heavenly hot cakes!

And lastly, we finished off our meal with some banana cream pie because let’s be real… why NOT finish breakfast off with some banana cream pie?!
Be sure to give them a try! You’ll be in heaven in no time with those hot cakes…
